A United Airlines flight heading from upstate New York to Chicago had to make an emergency landing Friday morning.

Flight 769 took off from Rochester but was forced to land in Buffalo.

A water pump caught fire in a lavatory. A flight attendant extinguished the small fire, but with smoke in the cabin, the pilots decided to land.

One-hundred-twenty-seven people were on board. No one was injured.

The passengers were put on another plane and continued on to Chicago.
