Lisle school changes stance on trucking co. move

A school for children with autism now supports a truck company's relocation to Chicago's west suburbs.

Navistar wants to move its company headquarters from Warrenville to the Alcatel-Lucent building in Lisle.

Initially, the school had initially fought the relocation of Navistar. School officials were concerned that Navistar's diesel engine testing and fuel storage would be disruptive to students.

The school, Giant Steps Illinois, changed its position when the truck company decided to move that part of its operations away from the school and area residents.

The move still needs to get the approval of the Village of Lisle.
