Poll: Republicans lead Democrat in gov. race

April 6, 2010 (MADISON, Wis.) The St. Norbert College Survey Center Poll released Tuesday and sponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio shows Republican Scott Walker with 24 percent support compared with 23 percent for GOP rival Mark Neumann.

Neumann holds a 43 percent to 29 percent advantage over Democrat Tom Barrett and Walker holds a 44 percent to 28 percent edge over Barrett.

Both Neumann and Walker have been running television advertisements statewide while Barrett has not.

The telephone poll of 400 Wisconsin residents was done between March 23 and March 31 and has a margin of error of plus of minus 5 percentage points.
