Redbox, the popular DVD rental company, may soon give its customers a new option for movies.

The company is reportedly working on a streaming option.

Kiosks for Redbox are found in stores across the Chicago area and rent movies for a dollar. According to High-Def Digest, Redbox is circulating a survey to gauge interest in monthly streaming video subscriptions similar to "watch instantly" for Netflix service.

The Redbox streaming would cost about $4 a month. That's half the price of Netflix. Four free DVD rentals would also be included in the plan.
