Lawmakers approve changes for McCormick Place

Illinois lawmakers have approved a bill to change way business is done at Chicago's McCormick Place.

The measure would cap labor costs for setting up conventions. That would allow exhibitors to set up and take down their own booths instead of paying for union labor.

Many trade shows have left Chicago because of high costs at McCormick Place.

The bill now goes to the governor.
