Nissan says its received 13,000 pre-orders for the new Leaf.
Customers had to put down a $99 deposit for the all-electric vehicle.
It goes on sale in December.

It re-charges in 8 hours using a standard outlet.
People who buy the $32,000 Leaf are eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit as well as additional tax credits depending upon where it's purchased.
