Bus driver pleads not guilty to DUI

A former school bus driver pleaded not guilty to charges that she drove a bus filled with students while she was drunk.

Betty Burden is charged with felony DUI.

She was stopped by Mount Prospect police in March after she finished her route, which involved dropping off 50 elementary school students. Authorities say her alcohol-blood level was well over the legal limit and she failed a field-sobriety test.

On Wednesday, Burden's attorney said he will likely challenge the blood-alcohol results.

Burden was fired from her job shortly the arrest.
