ComEd customers' bills to go up in July

The Illinois Commerce Commission says this is the result of changes in the wholesale price of electricity.

It comes a week after ComEd asked the ICC for a rate increase that would raise the monthly residential bill by about 7 percent.

The ICC does not regulate or set the price of electricity; it reviews and sets the price of delivery services.
