He visited Chicago Indoor Sports on the city's South Side to host a free clinic for kids.
The entertainer is the founder of the Snoop Youth Football League in California.
Snoop is bringing that league to Chicago.
He hopes it will help kids put their energy to good use.
"The only way we can stop this violence here in Chicago is if we become one team," said Snoop Dogg.
Chicago will be the first city to host the league outside of California.
