King, queen selected for Bud Billiken Parade

August 8, 2010 (CHICAGO) The coronation for the parade's royal court was held Sunday at the Museum of Science and Industry.

The newly crowned king is 12-year-old William Boston III, a seventh grader at Kate Starr Kellogg elementary school.

This year's queen is 10-year-old Leah Means, a fifth grader at Hoyne Elementary School.

ABC7's Jim Rose served as master of ceremonies.

This year's parade steps off from 39th Street and Martin Luther King Drive. ABC7 will broadcast the Bud Billiken parade live Saturday, August 14 beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will also be available on-demand at ABC7Chicago.com.
