Deadly shootings in Chicago have gained plenty of attention locally, and even put the city in the national spotlight.
Last weekend, six people were killed, several others were hurt, and three Chicago police officers have been killed in recent months.
But is the city a more dangerous place than it has been in years past?
Police Superintendent Jody Weis pointed out recently that homicides have fallen dramatically since from a high of 943 in 1992 to 460 last year.
