September 7, 2010 (RICHMOND, Ill.)

It happened in Richmond.

Authorities say the 11-year-old from Harvard wrote a prank note saying she had been kidnapped and missing for a year.

The note was written on a money order slip and left at McHenry Savings Bank in Richmond on August 11.

Police later found the girl safe with her father. She is charged with felony disorderly conduct because her actions caused police to respond to what was believed to be a life-threatening incident.
