Quinn reaches agreement with transporters

Governor Quinn has reached a resolution with an association of medical transporters who had threatened to not vote for the governor.They had said they would withhold their votes unless the state paid them for services rendered.

The Chicago Association of African American Transporters said that shortly before its news conference, the governor's office promised to pay within 10 days.

The association said its members transport Medicaid patients and other poor people who do not have cars, but are owed months of payments.
