Filming was to begin this week in Kendall County for the movie "Contagion," starring Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet.
However, the film has decided to skip scenes that would have been filmed at a makeshift frozen pond behind Yorkville High School. And scenes to be filmed at a Yorkville home have also been written out.
"Contagion" will shoot scenes in Elgin and other towns in our area.
