Officials are projecting that between Tuesday and next Tuesday 1.8 million people will pass through the two airports. Wednesday is expected to be the busiest day.
It's believed O'Hare will handle 190,000 travelers with Midway taking care of nearly 63,000.
For extreme procrastinators, both airports will have complimentary gift wrapping services Wednesday and Thursday.
