Jury selection was completed Friday in the trial of one of the people charged in the deadly beating of 16-year-old Fenger High School student Derrion Albert. Silvonus Shannon faces first degree murder charges in connection with the beating, which was caught on videotape.
It happened as Albert was walking home from school in 2009. He got caught up in a street brawl involving two rival groups of teens.
A 15-year-old has already been convicted in juvenile court.
Opening statements are scheduled to begin Monday in Shannon's trial.
