Sign of spring: Flower show open to public

January 22, 2011 (CHICAGO)

A wide variety of beautiful blooms are on display. Among them are azaleas that are the "direct descendants" of the great azaleas that bloomed at the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893.

Over the next few months, different annuals and perennials will flower, so you'll see something new each time you visit.

The free event runs until May 8.
