Many commuters found public transportation more crowded than usual Friday due in part to CPS schools reopening.

CTA bus riders braved the cold temperatures and maneuvered snow-covered side streets.

They are also getting used to the extra riders taking public transportation due to the blizzard.

With no yellow school bus service Friday, some riders experienced larger crowds.

"Everybody is used to cramming on the bus and getting to be comfortable with each other," said CTA bus rider Colleen Wienke.

There were also big crowd on CTA trains.

The CTA says there were no major delays during Friday's morning rush hour.
