Both sets of train tracks have reopened in the town of Mendota, Ill. Saturday night.

East- and westbound tracks were closed after a coal train derailment Friday.

Both freight and Amtrak passenger service were disrupted by the derailment.

A Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokesperson says the second track was reopened late Saturday afternoon.

Mendota is about 100 miles west of Chicago.
