Report: Emanuel wants live music district in Chicago

Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel is toying with the idea of creating a district for live music in Chicago.

Emanuel pointed out to the Sun-Times that Chicago has a downtown theater district, so why not an uptown music district?

Emanuel says he saw three shows just last weekend: singer-songwriter Susan Werner at the Old Town School of Folk Music, a play about Chicago called "A Twist Of Water" at Theater Wit and Irish balladeer David Gray Sunday at the Chicago Theatre.
