Film critic Roger Ebert rolled out the red carpet Thursday, celebrating his return to the balcony with his iconic review show.

Ebert and his wife, Chaz, hosted a dazzling event at the Peninsula Hotel Thursday night. This season they launched a show on PBS called "Ebert Presents at the Movies," continuing the tradition Ebert created with Gene Siskel more than three decades ago.

A-list guests, including ABC7's own Janet Davies, were on hand for the event.

Chaz is the executive producer. Roger is joined by critics Christy Lamire and Ignatiy Vishnevetsky.

Roger is also gearing up for his film festival in his hometown, Champaign-Urbana, next month. Passes have already sold out for the 13th annual Ebertfest, but indivicual tickets go on sale April 4th at ebertfest.com. Check out the film lineup at ebertfest.com/thirteen/schedule.html.
