It reportedly started in Glenview, just after 1 a.m., when Christopher Walsh carjacked another man at gunpoint. He eventually released the victim in Evanston.
The victim called the police and Skokie officers joined in the chase. It ended when Walsh lost control of the car in and slammed into a brick wall. He died in the wreck
A female passenger suffered minor injuries. Police are now trying to determine her role in the incident.
