Man pleads guilty in construction worker death

March 31, 2011 (HAMMOND, Ind.)

Robert Shannon, 36, faces two to eight years in prison when sentenced next month. In his plea, Shannon admits driving at a recklessly high rate of speed through a construction zone.

The victim, 45-year-old Christopher Jenkins, was working on the Borman Expressway in Lake Station, Indiana, when he was struck and killed.
