A shipwreck that may date back to the 1830s has been discovered in Lake Michigan.

The wreck was found off southwestern Michigan in water 250-feet deep between Saugatuck and South Haven.

The 60-foot, single mast vessel was found by the group Michigan Shipwreck Research.

Members were looking for remnants of a 1950 plane crash when they discovered the ship. It is said to be in good condition.

Researchers hope to identify the ship by summer.
