Chicago's second longest serving alderman -- who was voted out this week -- got a shot at a new gig as a guest radio host.

Berny Stone was the guest host at WLS-AM radio Saturday night.

"I'm running my maiden voyage as a talk show host," Stone said.

The 83-year-old says he'd loved it to become a regular gig.

Stone has served on the Chicago City Council in the 50th Ward since 1973.

In last Tuesday's aldermanic runoff elections, Debra Silverstein defeated Stone by 61 to 38 percent of the vote.
