2nd controller added to DuPage Airport midnight shift

Federal aviation officials say they are adding a second air traffic controller to midnight shifts at 27 airports around the country, including DuPage Airport.

The move comes following the suspensions of controllers at three more airports in Nevada, Washington and Texas.

The FAA says a controller fell asleep at Reno-Tahoe International airport early Wednesday. It happened while a medical flight carrying an ill patient was trying to land.

The controller has been suspended.
