Chicago Symphony Orchestra music director Riccardo Muti received an honor Sunday night at the Opera News Awards.

Muti was among five artists recognized for their international music achievements.

Muti missed the leading part of this winter's concert series because of a fractured jaw and other injuries he suffered when he fainted and fell from the podium during a rehearsal in February. He appeared healthy during Sunday night's award ceremony, which took place in New York.
