Volunteers are canvassing neighborhoods and hang posters around Illinois Saturday to help fight human trafficking.

The posters will advertise the National Human Trafficking hotline.

Meanwhile, officials will gather at the James R. Thompson Center to announce the statewide Illinois Rescue and Restore Human Trafficking Outreach Day.

The Illinois Department of Human services, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, the Salvation Army, Cook Co. Sheriff's Department, state police and more than 100 partners are part of the effort.
