Too much work, food, media may hurt health

A University of California, Los Angeles researcher says cheap fast food has led to Americans eating an average of an extra 1,000 calories a day. Also, constant media exposure has created stress while also numbing people to normal human interaction.

To pay for it all, people are working longer hours and enduring longer commutes. Experts add that when people cut back, their mental physical health improves.
