But some sections of the bike lanes have not been painted with "bicycles only" signage yet. That's causing some drivers to mistake them for additional car traffic lanes.
The city says recent rains delayed efforts to finish painting the lanes, which will provide a safer connection between Milwaukee Avenue and Wells Street, both popular corridors for bicycle commuters.
