Protesters rally against Syrian government

Hundreds of people gathered in downtown Chicago to protest the Syrian government's actions against demonstrators in that Middle Eastern country.

Protests against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad began in March, and organizers of Sunday's action say that since then, an estimated 1,500 people have been killed by government forces and many more imprisoned.

They want the Obama Administration to declare the Assad regime illegitimate, and the United Nations to condemn the Syrian government.
