"There's so much pushing people down these days. We try to come and lift people's spirits and let them know there are good days up ahead. People today, you need to be inspired, you need to be motivated, you need, you know, somebody speaking to you letting you know that god has great things ahead," said Osteen.
Five thousand people filled the Family Christian Center in Munster to hear Osteen.
Osteen brings his "Night of hope" to U.S. Cellular Field Saturday night.
