Honey Bun's owner, Chuck Roberts, is a co-owner of an Albany, Georgia, jewelry store where Honey Bun is somewhat of a mascot. Roberts recently left four packs of loose diamonds on his desk chair. When he came back, one was gone.
Ends up Honey Bun ate $10,000 worth of diamonds. After an x-Ray and a day's wait, the diamonds were recovered.
Honey Bun was guilty as charged, but his owner wasn't angry.
"I haven't scolded him to this day and I won't," Roberts said. "It's my fault for leaving the chair there, that's why."
Honey Bun has received a clean bill of health and doesn't appear to be affected by the incident.
