The nation's first 24-hour support hotline for immigrants facing possible deportation went on line Monday.

The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee rights' help-line launched today at the Hull House Museum on UIC's campus.

The privately funded hotline will serve callers from within the state of Illinois. It's purpose is to help people understand complex immigration laws and to inform them of their rights when faced with deportation.
