The toy retailer started offering a layaway option for large items like swing sets and bicycles in 2009.
Last year, they broadened the program. This year, a layaway option will be offered on all toys in about 450 of its 600 stores.
Toys "R" Us is joining other retailers including Best Buy, Wal-Mart and K-Mart in expanding layaway as an incentive to get cautious shoppers into stores.
