Police say Terrell Phagan was behind the wheel of a Chevy van that led a police through several South Side neighborhoods. According to police, Phagan took shots at officers during the 11-mile chase.
The suspect was out on parole for a similar crime last summer.
The Chicago Tribune reports that this past July, Phagan was released on parole for a 2008 conviction in connection with a police chase that started in south suburban Sauk Village.
In that case, Phagan and another man were accused of firing shots at a Sauk Cillage police officer.
