"Hero's Awards" were given in Chicago Thursday as part of the Ideas Week convention. Gov. Pat Quinn handed out the awards at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Among those honored were three people who work with Chicago's CeaseFire organization. They are Ameena Matthews, Ricardo Williams and Eddie Bocanegra. All three work to help stop street violence in Chicago and were featured in an award-winning documentary called "The Interrupters."

Also honored was Rob Warden, the executive director of the Center for Wrongful Convictions.
