2 Evanston students win national science competition

Two students from Evanston Township High School are among the winners in a major national science competition.

Julia Crowley-Farenga and Patrick Loftus were teammates on the project. They were awarded $40,000 in scholarship money. Their project was in astrophysics. It attempted to explain the evolution of galaxies and how they progress from being able to form stars to a state in which they can't create stars.
