Elgin police investigate fire where body was found

December 18, 2011 (ELGIN, Ill.)

The body was found early Saturday morning at 1 Times Square in Elgin.

The dead man has been identified as James S. Granger.

Police said in a statement that the victim met with foul play prior to the fire, that they are interviewing several persons of interest, and that charges are pending.
