Nearly 200 Chicago firefighters were on the scene of an abandoned factory that caught fire on the city's Southwest Side Tuesday night.

Firefighters stayed outside the building as the fought the flames because it wasn't clear if the roof was stable.

The fire broke out in the two-story building at about 7:30 p.m.

A hazardous materials team was called in as a precaution because of nearby railroad tanker cars.

No injuries were reported but nearby streets were shut down.
