JoJo James was shot at a gas station on 43rd and State streets. He died a short time later.
No one has been charged in the case.
Surveillance video shows the suspects pointing a gun at James and another man. Investigators say the men took cash and ran away. A $6,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
