Antioch father dies after battle with kidney cancer

January 26, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Riesdesel, 48, had a rare form of kidney cancer. His children, 9-year-old twins Harrison and Adelaide, created that comfort quilt with squares that had messages of love and support from friends, family and even some celebrities, like President George H. Bush and Chicago Bears players. They gave their dad the quilt for Christmas.

Riesdesel's family said he was wrapped in the quilt when he died Saturday evening.
