Radio host Herb Kent devotes show to Cornelius

During Herb Kent's radio show, celebrity guests were stopping by to share their memories of Soul Train and its iconic host.

Listeners were encouraged to share their thoughts as well.

There will be a public memorial for Cornelius on Wednesday.

It will be at the Museum of Broadcast Communications at 360 N. State St. in Chicago.

Doors will open at 5:15 pm. The event begins at 6.

Speakers are expected to include Kent, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and soul singer and Cook County Commissioner Jjerry "the Iceman" Butler.
