Children consume too much sugar

It may not come as a surprise but American children are still eating too much added sugar in their diets.

That's according to the Centers for Disease Control.

It found added sugar in drinks and foods makes up almost sixteen percent of the calories US children and teens consume.

That's more than the fifteen percent recommendation.

About forty-one percent of the added sugar comes from drinks and the rest from foods.
