City replacing trash cans for NATO summit

In preparation of next month's NATO summit, the city is replacing many of those big belly trash cans on downtown area streets.

Streets and Sanitation has already removed 40 of the solar powered garbage receptacles as a safety precaution.

They are being replaced with wire trash cans that police can more easily check for anything dangerous.

There are about 400 big belly cans on Chicago street corners, mostly downtown.
