Childhood obesity rates may be leveling off according to a report in the journal Pediatrics, which noted the trend among Massachusetts infants and preschoolers

Researchers are now speculating the trend may be happening nationwide as well.

Recent studies have shown that after decades of rising obesity among children the numbers seem to be leveling off.

On the downside, obesity rates among lower income children remain more stubbornly stable.
