Red wine may have health benefits

A study in the journal 'Cell Metabolism,' claims to have figured out how the anti-aging ingredient in red wine, resveratrol, functions in the body.

Scientists say resveratrol enhances the activity of energy-generating power plants in cells through a special gene also linked to longevity. Understanding how resveratrol works could help speed the development of other anti-aging drugs.
