The Chicago Fire Department has resolved a hazardous materials spill on the campus of the Illinois Institute of Technology.

They were called after what's described as "etching material used for metals" spilled in a basement lab area of the earth science building. This substance was in power form and reportedly highly explosive.

The building was evacuated as a precaution.

The material has now been removed. No one was hurt.
