A suburban woman convicted of running a prostitution ring is regaining custody of two children that used to be in her care.

The Sun Times reports that Cook County judge ruled today that the children be returned to 52-year-old Kimberly Miniea.

The 3- and 9-year-old were put into foster care by the state more than a year ago.

Miniea told the judge she was no longer in the prostitution business.

The State's Attorney's office urged the judge to permanently place the children with a foster family saying Miniea hadn't taken responsibility for her mistakes.
