A new study suggests adult men have a higher chance of suffering a stroke if their parents divorced before they turned 18.

Researchers at the University of Toronto found those men are 3 times more likely to have a stroke.

Scientists don't know why but think it might be because of more cortisol, a hormone created by stress.

The study also found female kids of divorced families did not face that higher stroke risk.
